I went to the gym on Tuesday afternoon. Had a great workout.
Scheduled a training session with a personal trainer. Went back on Thursday to find the door is locked, lights out, building empty. So much for my membership fee and money I had already paid for training sessions. To add insult to injury, the automatic payment that I had authorized on my credit card was charged to me again this month - more than a month after all locations in my city are gone.
I am now dealing with the credit card company to get my monthly payments discontinued.
I know Fitness 19 was taking memberships and advance payments for multi-session personal trainer sessions less than a week before they shut their doors. I don't think any of the onsite staff new they were going to be unemployed in a matter of days - in fact they were advertising for positions to be filled.
